- San Diego Airport is 45 Minutes North of
the Border.
- We can arrange transportation from the San Diego Airport by sending a driver to either pick up the patient or lead you in your rental car, to your hotel or the clinic.
- If you have any transportation trouble at all, call us and we'll arrange a ride.
- Walking Into Mexico
- Our office is located about 500 yards from the border gate. You can walk through the border, cross the street and walk into our building. You can park at the Last US Exit Parking Lot and Walk Into Mexico. Taxis are exhorbinantly expensive and we don't recommend them. The line getting back into the US can be time consuming and there is no place to sit.
- Driving Into Mexico
- You may drive into Mexico to our office. Call your auto insurer to add a "temporary insurance rider" to be sure you're covered in Mexico if you want.
- Rental Cars can be driven in if the Rental Car Agency has rights in Mexico. You will be required to buy Mexican Insurance. Check with your Car Rental Company.
- If you choose to drive to our office, let us know so we can notify security so they'll let you park. Driving back into the US can be very time intensive at times. You can avoid this by taking a shuttle with diamond lane privileges from your local hotel, like the Americana Inn. Most shuttle vans drop off at the clinic in the AM and pick up again in the PM if you notify them early enough. Most don't pick up later than 5 pm.
- Shuttle Service: We contract a US Licensed Shuttle Van Service or we recommend using a Hotel which provides this service, WITH DIAMOND LANE PERMIT. This saves sitting for hours to get back into the US. Hotel Limosine or Shuttle Services from the Airport are available (sometimes for a fee)--check with your hotel.
