BACKGROUND
Originally founded in 1989 by Dr.Jeff Freeman and his wife, Dr.Sonia Rodriguez at the "Advanced Center of Integrative Medicine" to pioneer Medical Hyperthermia for the treatment of Prostate BPH and Cancer. Their vision was to provide quality "Non-Consensus / Non-Cookbook" Medicine to Americans and others wanting more than traditional Allopathic Medicine provides.

They expanded to incorporate other therapies like Chelation, Ozone & BioOxidative Therapies, Metabolic Therapy, Immune Therapy, etc. and changed the name to reflect their primarily European Modalities in the early 1990s.

We're a fully licensed and registered research Out-Patient Clinic with In-Patient Services through Hospital Ingles downtown.
Treatments are carried out by Dr.Rodriguez at our clinic by appointment only, M-Sat. 9-5 pm. PST
Due to Dr.Sonias' extremely busy schedule and hospital duties, New patient candidates appointments are handled by our contract US Coordinator's Office by Dr.Bormann (Arrowhead HealthWorks) and then appointments for exams and consultation set up.




Sonia Rodriguez, M.D. is Co-founder & Director. She graduated The Autonomous Univ. of Guadalajara School of Medicine in 1984. Some of her speciality areas include Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Trauma Medicine. She is certified and the most experienced female physician specialist in Clinical Hyperthermia in Mexico, and is a member of the North American Hyperthermia Society and International Hyperthermia Association. She is Certified and Board Eligible in Oxidative Medicine according to IBOM Standards. She is a Surgeon and Emergency Medicine Specialist. She currently also works as a primary staff physician for Dr.Bradford's Clinic at Hospital Inglais and a Darkfield / Live Cell Microscopy Specialist for many years.

Jeffrey Freeman, M.D. is the Founder and Research Director. He comes from a family of Physicians, practicing in the U.S. He graduated from University of Guadalajara School of Medicine in 1972 and did Family Residency at Baylor School of Medicine in Texas with specialty in Cardiology. He is a member of the American Assoc. of Family Physicians, the North American Hyperthermia Society, The International Hyperthermia Association. He practiced General medicine in Osawattomie State Hospital, Osawattomie, KS, and was in Family Practice both in Calif. & Texas; and taught Biochemistry at the Univ. of Wyoming. He has practiced "Non-Consensus" medicine, utilizing alternative/integrated/complementary therapies for more than 20 years in the treatment of degenerative diseases such as cancer and viral syndromes. He is Certified and Board Eligible in Oxidative Medicine according to IBOM Standards.


Carolyn Bormann, N.D. has been friends with Drs.Freeman & Rodriguez and worked with Europa sine 1993. She is a Naturopathic Practitioner (or CTN as new normanclature goes), graduating from Clayton College in 1994. She has more than 20 years working in Traditional and Naturopathic Medicine. She is a Medical Assistant, Lab Tech, Hyperthermic Tech, Phlebotomist, Certified Lymphologist & Certified / Board Eligible in Oxidative Medicine. She has specialized in Enzyme Therapy, Oxidative Therapies & Whoebody Hyperthermia, Natural Hormone Balancing. She has many years in Medical Administration, Medical & Chiropractic Assisting, Red Cross CPR/First Aid Corporate Instructor, and has done extensive public lecturing. Her company Arrowhead Healthworks currently contracted as the Europa Clinic U.S.Director/ Case Coordinator and offers Naturopathic consultations and therapies to Europa patients also if desired. She also does OEM Manufacturing for the Bio Spectra Ozone Far Infrared Sauna Device as well as Living Spectra FIR Ozone/PEMF 3-Piece Dome Sauna which combines the benefits of Far Infrared Light/Heat Energy, Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy, Ozone Therapy, Negative Ionization Therapy into one unit. She maintains a private consulting practice from her home near Lake Arrowhead, CA.

IN-PATIENT SERVICES & SURGERIES ARE THROUGH OUR AFFILIATE HOSPITAL, HOSPITAL INGLES. Fully licensed & registered. Located in downtown Tijuana. This is a small 15 bed surgical Integrative Medicine Hospital. Organic meals & snacks, DHL Internet Service & Research Library available. Semi-private and private rooms. Dra. Sonia Rodriguez owns Europa and is a primary care physician at this hospital. We lose control of financial fees when patients are In-Patient since it includes 24 hr. nursing and meals. All patients are required to bring along a care-giver also.

Basic Tips:

Do Not drive a nice US vehicle like a SUV into Mexico. Mafia & Cartel members like to confiscate big ones especially like Cadillac Escalades & BMWs. Borrow or use an older smaller sedan which can be dinged in fender benders is better. Better yet, park at the last US exit at the parking and either walk over or take a shuttle from your hotel on the US side. Staying on the Mexican side can also make coming in for daily treatment easier also.
Do Not Bring Medications purchased in Mexico into the USA without a Mexican Licensed MD Rx. You can be detained or charged with a crime depending on the drugs.
Do NOT transport blood or other bodily fluids through the border. It is a felony.
Do Not Bring Cash over $3,000. Traveller's Checks or Bank Drafts are safer.
Do Not Bring Visible Electronic Devices (laptops, IPODs, etc.) into Mexico without a receipt showing your name as the owner...they can be confiscated (BIG BLACK MARKET FOR ELECTRONICS)
Do Not Bring a US Rental Car into Mexico unless it is specifically allowed by the rental car company and is insured.
Don't flaunt wealth. Don't wear expensive jewelry.
DO bring flats of your own water to drink if possible. Bottled water on the mexican side is questionable.


NOTE: YOU ARE RECORDED ON VIDEO AND MICROPHONE APPROX 250 FEET BEFORE GOING THROUGH THE BORDER SHUTE (ON BOTH SIDES). WATCH WHAT YOU SAY.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS TO THE CLINIC:
San Diego Airport is 45 Minutes North of the Border.
Hotel Limosine or Shuttle Services from the Airport are available (sometimes for a fee)--check with your hotel.
You can park at the Last US Exit Parking Lot and Walk Into Mexico or take a shuttle if you're not staying at a Hotel witha Shuttle. Taxis are exhorbinantly expensive.
Getting back into the US can be time intensive. We suggest taking a shuttle with diamond lane privileges from your local hotel, like the Americana Inn.
You may drive into Mexico (we're right next to the Border Gates). Call your auto insurer to add a "temporary insurance rider" to be sure you're covered in Mexico if you want.
Shuttle Service: We contract a US Licensed Shuttle Van Service or we recommend using a Hotel which provides this service, WITH DIAMOND LANE PERMIT. This saves sitting for hours to get back into the US. Due to escalating violence and the situation due to the Drug Cartels Border War, we don't recommend driving into Mexico in a nice Lexus, BMW, or Cadillac SUV...it makes you a greater target for theft or kidnapping.

CELLULAR PHONES & SERVICE:
Cell Phone Use: Call your Cellular Provider to tell them you're going to be in Mexico and to "turn on" service. Mexico "owns" the air starting just about 1 mile north of the Border. There is a roaming fee usually. Check to find out how far in it will work. AT&T, Sprint & Verizon work best however service quality will vary with the type of phone used.

NOTES ABOUT STAYING IN MEXICO:
Tipping is expected and is the same rate as the US and appreciated in Dollars.Check the exchange rate before coming and try to get Pesos to pay your meals and tips with if it's easier.
Resturants build 15% gratuity typically into the bill already. Do NOT tip if bad service.
Bring your own bottled water for drinking and only buy bottled drinks in restuarants or boiled water like coffee, etc.
Bring "flip flops" for showering, etc. Hotels along the Border can harbor some weird stuff due to the international nature of the travellers.
A portable ozone air purifier w/filter may be desired for hotel room use.
Electrical Devices may require an adapter for US Electronics. The Power is "dirty" and can crash computers easily. A UPS/Batty back up is recommended. WiFi is available usually in better quality hotels because they cater to US businessmen. Adapter Travel Kits are available at any WalMart or Radio Shack if needed also.

INFECTIOUS DISEASE INFORMATION: H1N1 Flu is still alive and well. Viruses go right through face masks so most healthcare workers don't use them.
Typhoid Fever is endemic and is carried by flies from above ground sewage. Whooping Cough (Pertusis) is also endemic and spread through the air.
DO NOT EAT ANYTHING OFF A FRUIT OR TACO STANDS UNLESS IT IS BOTTLED. BRING STERILIZER GEL ALONG JUST TO BE SAFE. Turburculosis, Chollera and other "erradicated" diseases are alive and well in Mexico. Also, the water carries amoebias and other parasites which is not safe -- DO NOT BRUSH YOUR TEETH WITH EVEN HOTEL WATER OR TRUST THE BOTTLED WATER GIVEN ON THE MEXICAN SIDE.
