DEFINITION OF TERMS -- DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS & TYPES

Whole-Body Systemic Low Temperature (103-104º) Sustained Hyperthermia (Usually Far Infra-red Sauna, Infra-red Ozone Sauna, Fever Therapy induced from Biologicals like the BCG Vaccine, Coley's Toxins, Mistletoe Extract (viscum), etc. Broad application and a "shot gun" approach as physics is concerned...Beneficial Effects Very Dependent On Circulation Parameters. Can be done at home if appropriate. Initially done under physicians supervision for short periods to determine tolerance. Requires cirulatory evaluation and to rule out heart conditions that would contraindicate it. Creates a hostile environment for offending microbes and many disease process, besides allowing many environmental chemical toxins to exit through sweat, which is the only known way to reduce chemical poisioning with fatty acid based chemicals like fertilizers.

Localized Topical Hyperthermia (106º-113ºF) is essentially boiling the cells....(done under medical supervision in a doctor's office with use of radio-frequency or microwave hyperthermia, infra-red hyperthermia, or ultrasound hyperthermia. Ablation or Lasers are used sometimes also. Used for many different types of cancers & precanceous conditions including brain, esophygeal, nasal, buccal, throat, lymphatic, lung, breast, bone, liver, kidney, stomach, intestinal, pancreatic, etc. It does several things: Stops neoplastic replication by interferring in the "S" phase of the mitotic process. It increases transport of cytotoxic agents and sensitizes previously resistent cells. It Increases Cellular Porosity for uptake of desired biological compounds (chemo, cytotoxic agents, etc.)

Intra-cavitary Hyperthermia for use in BPH, Endometriosis, polyps, Cervical dysplasia, Cancers, etc. as well as tumors such as colorectal, vaginal, cervical, gastric, liver.

Extra-Corporeal Hyperthermia: Blood is taken out and heated and returned to the body. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROCEDURE AND WE DON'T DO IT. IT IS BEING DONE UNDER EXPERIMENTAL BASIS FOR AIDS IN MEXICO.

INTERNAL CAVITY PULSED MICROWAVE HYPERTHERMIA WATER COOLED PROBE UNIT (PROSTATE, COLON, VAGINAL USES)
This unit is used for reducing enlarged prostate and destroying malignant prostate cells as well as for colorectal cancers and sometimes vaginal or cervical cancers, endometrial overgrowths, polyps, etc.


EXTERNAL / TOPICAL MICROWAVE HYPERTHERMIA UNIT (USES SUCH AS CARCINOMAS, LYMPHOMAS, BLASTOMAS, MELANOMAS, ETC.)
Used for external as well as superficial internal tumors that are not too deep or large as well as external tumor masses. Excellent results in shrinking breast masses and lymphomas. We combine this therapy with other metabolic i.v. solutions that potentiate the effects on the immune response for an added "punch". Usually is billable from insurance if they will pay for the treatment in the U.S. The difference is that we utilize special non-toxic or less toxic metabolic NATURAL cytotoxic agents such as enzymes, polysaccharides, polypeptides, beta-glucan, cesium chloride,lipisomes, etc. and NO radiation or standard toxic chemo, which is the only way it is allowed to be used in the U.S. since there is very little money in the treatment itself. We cannot accept insurance as payment but the patient can submit the coded itemized bill after leaving for reimbursement.




WHOLE-BODY LOW-LEVEL FOCUSED HYPERTHERMIA (LLHT)

THIS IS DONE WITH THE USE OF A PORTABLE CARBON BLACK FAR INFRARED CHAMBER DEVICE. This therapy is where the patient lies down in the chamber with the head free, and the core temp is driven to 104º+F and maintained for not less than 1 hr. per session or to tolerance. We also have the option of adding oxygen and/or ozone to the chamber environment on some of our units also.

Long term HIGH level hyperthermia is traditionally done for instance in European clinics under strict supervision of a physician in a surgical-suite environment, and they drive core temps to 106-107º with the patient sedated and iced. We believe from our clinical work that it isn't necessary to drive core temps that high but rather to do consistent heat shock protein stimulation at lower levels can be as effective and not as dangerous... The Koreans have used this for hundreds of years in lower levels and achieve excellent benefits also. The mechanism of action is through the body's generation of HSPs (heat shock proteins) which evoke and immune response...which makes the environment toxic for infected or neoplastic cells.

Dr.Bormann developed a protocol using FIR sauna devices modified for use with oxygen/ozone which has proven effective and less costly or dangerous. Patients must be screened first for candidacy by our physicians and then the protocol can be performed at home under physican supervision.

These InfraRed Chambers can be purchased directly by the patient for home use, through Arrowhead HealthWorks™. It is an excellent adjuvant therapy which can be done at home with long distance supervision and training.
