LIPOSOMAL ITAMIN C + CO-Q10, 4 fl. oz.
Coenzyme Q10 is not only an antioxidant but can also help weight loss by stimulating the body's metabolism. Natural Essential Phospholipids (EPL)
Basic Information
 
Essential phospholipids (EPL) are natural components of human and animal cells forming the outer membrane that contain them. Without EPL life as we know it is not possible. A continuous supply of EPL, or its constituents, are absolutely necessary for human health and well being. A natural source for EPL is soy lecithin from which it is extracted through a rather expensive process. EPL is particularly rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids with linoleic and linolenic fatty acids accounting for 70% of EPL's fatty acid content. These are termed essential fatty acids because they must be taken in with food since the human body cannot synthesize them. The effects on the human body by taking EPL as a nutritional supplement and as a transport mechanism for other supplements are truly amazing.
 
Examples of Oral EPL applications:
 
First and foremost is the effect of EPL on your heart. The risk of developing heart disease for those age 40 and older in the United States is one in two for men and one in three for women. Also, heart disease is the leading cause of death for adults worldwide. Public clinical studies performed by Rhone Poulance Rorer, a large pharmaceutical company in Europe, for their EPL product "Lipostabil" *, show that EPL prevents the development of hypercholesterolaemia and hypertriglyceridaemia in doses as little as 300 mg EPL per day. In larger doses EPL normalizes LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, as well as triglycerides in serum. EPL also reverses pathological tissue accumulation from vascular walls. Thus, EPL is an all-natural replacement for Statin Drugs but without side effects.
 
New EPL products are now available as capsules (containing 300 mg EPL) and therapeutic liquid gel (containing 1000 mg EPL per tea spoon). The intake of EPL as a nutritional supplement is a convenient way to supply your body with the essential fatty acids it needs and to take advantage of the above mentioned benefits.
The second benefit of EPL combines the first effect described above with the ability by phospholipids to provide an effective transport mechanism through biological membranes and skin . Under certain physical conditions phospholipids will spontaneously form microscopic cellular structures whose walls are very similar in construction to the actual cell membrane as shown in the Figure. The size of these spheres is very small, in the order of nanometers. As illustrated, the spheres are hollow inside and contain the liquid material in which they were formed (inclusion). Because of the small size of the phospholipid molecule and micro spheres, they can pass through biological membranes and act as a carrier for enclosed substances. Lipoflow uses a natural blend of highly refined Phospholipids from soy lecithin which is used to form closely packed liposome gels. Each cellular structure (vesicle) containes the desired pharmaceutical solution for delivery through the respective membrane. The first figure below depicts an electron microscope image of such a gel. As the image shows, there is very little space left between the vesicles, which contains the same material that is inside. Once this gel has been formed it is stable and can be diluted and added to oral products for delivery through the respective membranes. The second figure depicts an electron microscopic photo of a diluted liposome preparation. The inter cellular space now can consist of a different liquid than contained in the vesicles. The stability of these products is about one year if cared for properly (refrigerated).

Recent clinical tests have verified that EPL encapsulated substances pass through biological membrances directly into the blood stream, effectively bridging the intestinal barrier, for systemic heavy metal detoxification.** This novel new oral form of di-sodium EDTA was tested clinically with sixteen patients. A baseline 24 hour urine was initially collected followed by provocation of two fluid ounces of DeTox Max concentrate in fruit juice, containing one gram of di-sodium EDTA microencapsulated in essential phospholipids. Two successive twenty-four hour urine collections followed the initial provocation of DeTox Max. Excellent maximum increases in urine excretion over baseline control results were obtained: Aluminum >>100%, 960 ug/24 hr, Antimony 50%, Arsenic 1,558%, Bismuth 6,801%, Cadmium 233%, Lead 4,333%, Mercury 312%, Nickel 1,988%, Platinum >100%: 0.05 ug/24 hours, Thallium 300%, Thorium >100%: 0.05 ug/24 hours, Tin 1,980 %, Tungsten 150% and Uranium >100%: 0.09 ug/24 hours.**

Ethylene diamine tetracetic acid (EDTA) is extensively used to remove toxic & heavy metals from the body and also to obtain Cardiovascular benefits. EDTA is usually administered intravenously and takes 2-3 hours per administration. One series of treatment consists of 10-30 administrations with 1-3 g of EDTA each. It is well known that oral administration of EDTA is very inefficient in that only 5 % of EDTA passes into the blood stream. In addition, larger than 500 mg doses, taken orally, result in instant diarrhea. When EDTA is encapsulated in EPL microspheres, however, even doses as high as 2 g and more per oral administration do not produce diarrhea and over 90 % of the EDTA pass into the blood stream. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is another beneficial substance that is not well tolerated when adminsterd orally in high doses. Like EDTA, vitamin C causes diarrhea in doses larger than 2-3 gram. High doses of ascorbic acid are also adminstered introvenously for this reason.
