What is ECIT?
E.C.I.T. stands for "Electro Collagen Induction Therapy" and it is done with The RejuvaStamp Classic™ Manual Vertical Cosmetic Micro-Needling Device. The Device works by inserting tiny micro needles into the skin creating thousands of perforations. These microscopic perforations stimulate your body's own natural electrical response. (Just like acupuncture)
 
These natural Electro signals induce your body's own natural human growth factor (PDGF), to transform into growth factor (TGF beta). This will increase blood circulation to the penetrated area, and stimulate collagen, and elastin production. The new collagen and elastin matrix can continue rejuvenation for up to 12 months. The Result: Rejuvenating Collagen III back to Collagen I. The skin will be nourished, oxygenated, and restructured from the inside and out. All without destroying the epidermis. Collagen and elastin fibers make up a large part of the dermis. The thick fibers of collagen support the skin. If the elastin and collagen are in poor condition, the skin lacks resiliency, sags, and develops noticeable wrinkles.
 
The major cause of skin ageing is collagen loss. Collagen loss is determined largely by our genetics. Excess sun exposure accelerates collagen loss, and leads to premature skin ageing. 75% of the dermis is made up of collagen. In healthy skin it is arranged in bundles in a "basket-weave" pattern, which provides the dermis with its strength and prevents tearing. Collagen decreases as the skin ages, therefore the skin becomes thinner and sags the older we are. 5% of dermis is elastin. Elastin maintains the skin's tension and extensibility. Elastin fibers decrease, fragment and loose their normal structure as the skin ages. In sun exposed skin, elastin increases, and becomes thickened and dysfunctional. Fibroblasts are the master cells of the dermis and are able to produce new collagen, elastin fibers and the dermal matrix when stimulated.
 
The Patent-pending design and techniques allow for a rapid, safe, non-ablative procedure that works from the inside out.

How Big & Deep Are The Needles ?
All needles are medical acupunture needles manufactured in the USA.
.025 micron width
Small head: 14 needles, 1.0 micron long
Med head: 25 needles, 1.5 microns long
Large head: 79 needles, 2.0 microns long
 
Does it Require Special Training ?
Not really. You aren't required to go for special training. We provide basic instructions for home users in a written explanation. We will also provide an instructional DVD. The procedure is very simple once you understand it and get the hang of it.
 
Is The Procedure Painful?
Not really. If you use our topical anesthetics which have been developed especially for Cosmetic Procedures, if used correctly, it is totally comfortable. Some individuals are very sensitive and their anatomy may make themmore sensitive. They may need more anesthetic and you need to allow it to take effect longer. Individuals who have used pain medications chronically sometimes can develop a resistance and so more may be needed.
 
How Long Does A Procedure Take?
It depends on what you are working on. Stretch marks on a belly take a lot longer than eye wrinkles do, etc. An entire Face and Neck and Chest can take hours to do thoroughly. A regional spot treatment like the face can take as little as 1 hr. including anesthetization time. It depends on how fast you work and how sensitive you are.
 
How Many Procedures Will I Need ?
This is an unknown since it depends on your ability to heal and develop new collagen. On average we suggest allowing 4-6 weeks between treatments. Typically there is swelling after the initial procedure which takes a day or so to go away. The appearance of new collagen typically takes at least 3 weeks. We do not recommend doing a procedure in the same place within 2 weeks of the last procedure. It really depends on the person.
