Carolyn Bormann, N.D., Owner & Director
Carolyn lives with her husband Paul of 31+ years. They have 2 adult children, Abigail and Jonathan. Carolyn started Arrowhead HealthWorks™ in 1990 primarily to provide private consultations as well as website for products for Europa clinic patients. The scope has expanded considerably since then. Her passion and calling to help educate and empower people was fueled by the untimely death of her beloved Aunt Marilyn who succombed to the barbaric treatments she endured for metastatic breast cancer, being buried less than 6 mos. from the date of original diagnosis.
 
Carolyn is a traditional Naturopath having graduated from Clayton College in 1994. She already had many years of training in traditional medical allied fields. She did not want to become a "wanna be" MD, getting a NMD degree. She was interested in practicing traditional naturopathy alongside qualified licensed MDs and DOs.
 
California law recently changed after much "lobbying" and pay-offs to now Ex-Governor, Gray Davis by the AANP (Amer.Assoc. of Naturopathic Physicians) & others who wanted equal status for NMDs as primary care physicians with allopathic Medical Doctors (which she is vehemently against since they aren't trained anywhere near to the same degree as an MD...MD has a min.12 years v.s. 4 for a "residential naturopathic physician").
The only licensure available for Naturopaths in Calif. is if they have graduated from one of the 4 Residential Naturopathic Colleges in the US. Since this is strictly a political move to restrict the field and licensure so narrowly, it gives the public a false sense of security and opens them to potential injury. She believes that if someone wants Medical Services which focus on Disease, it is important to find ethical integrative physicians who are open minded and will work together for the patients' best interest, which is why she keeps several MDs, DOs in her network of professionals. You can't be all things to all people when it comes to Healthcare and do a good job...

Dr.McCormick is a good friend and mentor. He graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic college more than 30 years ago, and is a committed Christian who has a real gift for helping chronic and difficult cases. He works until the manifested issues are tangibly changed and we see some results, which may take days sometimes if the patient is amenable. He is vehemently against the new commercialized "pseudo-medical cookbook chiropractic" so prevalent today which leads to short standardized visits, etc. designed to keep the patient coming back to the office regularly (profit over patient). It is $$ driven, not patient driven. He jokingly says he uses the "Poof" technique...If you eliminate the energy for a spcific condition or agent, and you remove its power & ability to manifest and the body heals itself ! He uses unique methods using Informational techniques which focus on functional physiology to find blockages and imbalances and eliminate them to bring homeostasis and the body will heal itself. We use these techniques along with Bodywork, Chiropractic Adjustments, Nutrition, Wholefood Diets, Supplements, Prayer, and Photo Therapy using Lasers, LEDs, Infrared, Biofeedback, Frequency Devices, Magnetic Field Therapy, etc. He is available through our office only. He does not maintain his own office anymore.

Carol is a fully licensed Cosmetologist & Esthetician as well as having a nursing background. She has more than 28 years in the Industry doing hair and skincare at high end salons with a large clientelle fron Hollywood Studios as well as owing her own salon. She's been a Mountain resident for 20+years and we're blessed to have her working with us. Her professionalism and exceptional skills make her a fantastic addition to the team.
